Job Description
Traveling JW Electricians with valid Michigan state licenses.
Day in the Life
- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions or equipment failures on-site.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Must be able to bend and install pipe
- Proficient in bending conduit
- Plan layout and installation of electrical systems for construction or renovation projects.
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on electrical components and systems.
- Test electrical systems using specialized tools (voltmeters, oscilloscopes, ammeters, etc.).
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate work completion.
- Document all work performed, including repairs, replacements, and system updates.
- Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and industry regulations.
- Provide field reports and recommendations for system improvements or upgrades.
Requirements
- Traveling JW Electricians with valid Michigan state licenses
- Must have experience with new electrical installs
- Michigan State license required- Any License Qualifies
- Must have experience in large scale commercial and industrial projects such as Data Centers, Large Distribution Centers, and/or Battery Plants
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Trade school diploma/certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience performing work in the field setting
- Ability to work as a team with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Open to learning new skills and willingly accepts feedback for continuous improvement
- Dedicated team player with strong customer service orientation
- Journeyman License
