Structural Steel Welder

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Structural Steel Welders for projects located in or around Olean, NY. This is a first shift opportunity. Job Scope

• Weld large-diameter pipe in accordance with AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code
• Perform FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) on heavy structural steel components
• Complete multipass groove welds and CJP (Complete Joint Penetration) welds
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
• Ensure all welds meet quality and structural specifications
• Assist with rigging and material handling as needed
• Work safely in a structural steel fabrication shop environment

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of structural steel welding experience.
• Must be proficient in FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) processes.
• Must have experience welding heavy structural steel components.
• Must be able to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
• Must have a working knowledge of AWS D1.1 welding requirements.
• Must be able to pass company welding qualification tests.
• Experience with multipass groove welds and CJP welds.
• Experience with overhead crane operations and rigging is preferred.
• Current AWS Welder Certification is preferred.
• Experience welding large-diameter pipe is preferred.
• Previous employment in a structural steel fabrication shop is preferred.
