Job Overview

Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking Plumbers at the Journeyman and Helper levels for a data center construction project in Richmond, Virginia running 6+ months. Both local and traveling candidates are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

  • Install, assemble, and support copper ProPress and PVC piping systems
  • Perform ProPress connections on copper piping
  • Install water, gas, and drainage piping systems as required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications
  • Measure, cut, fit, and assemble piping accurately
  • Complete pipe layout and fit up according to project requirements
  • Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and code compliance
  • Coordinate with crew members and supervision to maintain project schedules
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Follow all site specific safety requirements and procedures

Requirements

  • Journeyman Qualifications: 3+ years of plumbing experience
  • Journeyman Qualifications: Experience with copper ProPress systems and PVC piping installation
  • Journeyman Qualifications: Commercial or industrial plumbing experience strongly preferred
  • Journeyman Qualifications: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job specifications independently
  • Journeyman Qualifications: Strong pipe layout, measuring, fitting, and fabrication skills
  • Journeyman Qualifications: Ability to safely and accurately use standard plumbing tools
  • Journeyman Qualifications: Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled overtime
  • Helper Qualifications: Prior plumbing or construction experience preferred, not required
  • Helper Qualifications: Willingness to learn pipe layout, measuring, fitting, and installation under direction of a Journeyman
  • Helper Qualifications: Ability to safely use standard plumbing tools
  • Helper Qualifications: Dependable attendance and ability to work scheduled overtime
  • Helper Qualifications: Strong work ethic and ability to follow direction on a fast paced jobsite
  • Per Diem Eligibility: Maintain a permanent residence more than 60 miles from the jobsite
  • Per Diem Eligibility: Work the full scheduled shift each day
