Pipefitter

Pipefitters needed in Apple Grove, WV. 3–4 month project, 60 hours/week.

Pipefitter Job Responsibilities

• Select the type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to job specifications
• Inspect the worksite to determine the presence of obstructions
• Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers
• Cut pipe using a reciprocating saw, pipe cutter, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine, and/or other small hand tools
• Thread pipe using a threading machine
• Bend pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machines
• Mount pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold the pipe
• Assemble and install a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings
• Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as required
