Structural Welder - Shipyard

Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Structural Welders to join our shipyard team in Houston, TX. This role involves welding structural components using .045 fluxcore with 100% CO2 gas in vertical up and overhead positions.

Responsibilities:

• Weld structural components using .045 fluxcore with 100% CO2 gas.
• Perform welding in vertical up and overhead positions to meet shipyard requirements.
• Adhere to shipyard welding standards and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure welding tasks are completed as per specifications.

• Proven experience as a Structural Welder, preferably in a shipyard setting.
• Proficiency in structural welding with .045 fluxcore and 100% CO2 gas.
• Experience in vertical up and overhead position welding.
• Ability to pass a 12" plate test with visual inspection.
• Competence in groove weld tests with (2) unbeveled edges.
• Understanding of shipyard welding standards and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and quality in welding work.
• Physical ability to perform welding tasks in various positions and environments.
• Effective communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Working Hours: 60+ hours per week
