Join us in Cedar Rapids, IA, for an exciting long-term project! We're seeking licensed Iowa Journeyman Electricians or those willing to reciprocate their license to Iowa. You'll be doing commissioning on breakers, and we can't wait to have you on board!
Your Responsibilities
- Correct breaker size: Make sure the amperage and interrupting rating are spot on.
- Proper installation: Follow manufacturer specifications to the letter.
- Correct torque: Use calibrated torque wrenches for all lugs and terminations.
- Wire sizes and color coding: Ensure everything's just right.
- Phase identification: Label everything clearly.
- No damage: Check for any physical damage or contamination inside the switchgear.
- Miscellaneous testing: Be ready to perform any additional testing as needed.
Requirements
- Licensed Iowa Journeyman Electrician or willingness to reciprocate an existing license to Iowa.
- Commissioning experience on breakers.
- Ability to verify correct amperage and interrupting rating.
- Ability to follow manufacturer specifications.
- Ability to use calibrated torque wrenches for all lugs and terminations.
- Ability to verify wire sizes and color coding.
- Ability to label phase identification clearly.
- Ability to check for physical damage or contamination inside switchgear.
- Ability to perform miscellaneous additional testing as needed.
