General Responsibilities

Primary Duties

  • Set stops on machine beds, change dies, and adjust components such as ram or power press for successive passes.
  • Operate various presses and machinery including power press, hydraulic press, and arbor press according to specifications.
  • Install, align, and secure gears, dies, and fixtures using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
  • Plan operation sequences based on knowledge of metal properties.
  • Inspect workpieces for defects, measure dimensions and weight using micrometers, templates, and scales.
  • Select and position die sets into machines utilizing hoists, cranes, measuring instruments, and hand tools.
  • Monitor and control machine operations to ensure proper functioning.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and make adjustments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status and issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with an Accurpress Brake ETS 3000 Control.
  • Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs multiple times daily.
  • Standing for long periods, repetitive motion, and physical dexterity required.
  • Must be able to operate equipment such as presses, hoists, and measuring devices.
  • This on-site role requires mandatory overtime as per production demands.
  • Dress code includes safety work boots, safety glasses, and appropriate workwear; no casual attire allowed.
