What You'll Do
- Perform rough and finish carpentry, framing, maintenance, and construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Work independently and collaboratively to complete projects in remote environments
- Track materials, inventory, and work orders using computer-based systems
- Respond to maintenance and emergency service needs as required
- Help maintain safe, efficient, and sustainable operations across station facilities
- Support community and environmental stewardship programs

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 4+ years of carpentry experience including rough framing and finish work
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to safety
- Valid U.S. Driver's License
- Must pass medical, dental, drug screening, background checks, and meet deployment requirements.
- Commercial or industrial construction experience
- Metal stud framing, drywall hanging, and finishing experience
- Experience working in remote locations or extreme environments
- First Aid/Wilderness First Aid training
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to lift, carry, climb, kneel, crawl, and perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working outdoors in extreme cold and challenging weather conditions
- Willingness to deploy to Antarctica for an extended seasonal assignment
