HVAC/R Technician

Veteran Mechanical Services is hiring a skilled and reliable Commercial HVAC/R Technician for work in Fargo, North Dakota. This role is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and service of large-scale heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Work may take place in commercial environments including office buildings, hospitals, retail centers, industrial facilities, and similar job sites. Project location: Fargo, ND Pay: $40.00 per hour Per diem: $55.00 per day Openings: 15 Key responsibilities: - Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC/R equipment - Service rooftop units, chillers, boilers, walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, and control systems - Perform installations and retrofits of commercial mechanical systems according to blueprints and local building codes - Conduct routine inspections and seasonal maintenance to support system performance and energy efficiency - Safely handle, recover, and dispose of refrigerants in accordance with EPA requirements - Maintain accurate digital records for work orders, parts usage, and system readings - Communicate technical issues clearly with dispatch, customers, and project personnel - Prioritize safety, efficiency, professionalism, and customer service Required qualifications: - Valid EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required - 3 to 5 years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience - Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs - Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces or varied weather conditions - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability - Professional communication skills Benefits: - PTO - Benefits - Double time opportunities where applicable - Per diem Tags: PTO, Benefits, Double Time, Per Diem, HVAC, HVAC/R, Refrigeration, Commercial HVAC, Service Technician Veteran Mechanical Services is looking for a dependable technician who takes pride in safe, high-quality commercial HVAC/R work.
