Job Description
Cummings Electrical is hiring Traveling Journeyman Electricians for work based out of Texas with travel required.
A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available.
This position is for experienced Journeyman Electricians who are willing to travel and hold a valid Journeyman license. All states are accepted, and candidates with a Texas Journeyman license or a reciprocal state license are encouraged to apply.

$46.00 per hour
Per diem:
$130.00 per day

Key responsibilities and qualifications:
- Prepare, read, and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine wiring layout, equipment placement, and fixture placement
- Assist the Superintendent with planning work and schedules
- Inspect crew installations for quality and ensure compliance with code and safety standards
- Provide on-site direction, mentorship, and training to Apprentice Electricians
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in new commercial and industrial construction settings
- Demonstrate layout, termination, and electrical drawing interpretation skills
- Help ensure requested materials are expedited and received as needed
- Hold a valid Journeyman license; Texas Journeyman license or reciprocal state license preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and project managers regarding project progress, issues, and recommendations
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
