Bechtel is hiring Journey Level Pipefitters for work in Sulphur, Louisiana. Bechtel has supported major projects across energy, infrastructure, and industrial markets for more than a century. Responsibilities and requirements: - 5+ years of industrial construction experience as a journeyman pipefitter - Basic rigging skills - Proficient with small power tools, including die grinders and right-angle grinders - Able to read and understand piping isometric drawings - Able to read piping and instrument diagrams, preferred - 3+ years of experience in testing and commissioning piping systems - Able to plan work efficiently - Able to prepare weld joints to meet project codes and standards - Proficient in pipe layout - Able to thread pipe using a threading machine - Able to read and understand support details and drawings - May assist with lifting, positioning, and securing materials and work pieces during installation - Cleans and performs minor maintenance on tools and equipment - Must be able to safely travel across uneven terrain while carrying tools and building materials - Must be able to climb vertical ladders and work at heights as needed - Must follow all safety procedures - Must understand the use of personal fall arrest systems - Must be able to access scaffold Career growth: Bechtel supports craft career development through long-term work opportunities, training, development programs, and project-based advancement opportunities.
